About

This Is How
We Run

It started in 2019 on Banpo Bridge at dawn — five of us with headlamps on. Today, 320 runners take on the Han River together every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. People over times, consistency over speed — that's the Seoul Runners way.

Our Story

Five People's Dawn
Became 320 People's Habit

It began as a single line in a group chat: "Running alone is boring." Never overdo it, never leave anyone behind, and always grab a bowl of gukbap afterward. These little rules have been the engine driving the crew for six years running.

2019 Crew formed in Banpo with 5 members
2021 42 members finish first Seoul Marathon together
2023 Banpo, Yeouido & Namsan become regular courses
2025 Registered runners surpass 320

Pace Groups

Your Pace Is Your Group

We run in three groups. Feel free to switch based on how you're feeling today. Whichever group you pick, lead runners stay front and back.

Jogging Group

6:30/km

Easy 5km, chatting along the way

Perfect for beginners and recovery runs. The goal is to finish comfortably while chatting, never out of breath.

Running Group

5:30/km

Steady rhythm for 10km

The heart of the crew. Most runners training for a half or full marathon run in this group.

Speed Group

4:30/km

All-out intervals

Repeat 400m and 800m drills to shave down your times. This is where runners chasing sub-3 and sub-4 gather.

Courses

The Three Courses We Run Every Week

Runners on the Banpo River Course over Banpo Bridge

5km Tue

Banpo River Course

A flat course looping from Banpo Bridge around Jamsu Bridge. Run against the backdrop of the Rainbow Fountain lit up at night.

Runners on the Yeouido Park Night Course

8km Thu

Yeouido Night Course

A wide loop around Yeouido Park. There's nothing like the refreshing feeling of running under the lights after work.

Runners climbing the Namsan Sowol-gil Hill Course

6km Sat

Namsan Hill Course

A course that wakes up your heart with the Sowol-gil climb. That sip of water at the top is the best reward of all.

Our Promise

Four Promises the Crew Keeps

01 — Together

No One Left Behind

The slowest runner's pace sets the pace for the day. Lead runners stay with you right through to the very last person.

02 — Manner

Manners Over Ability

Say hi first, cheer loud, and clean up your own cup. Attitude is the crew's first impression.

03 — Safety

Safety First

Night runs mean reflective bands on, pacers front and back, and a first-aid kit always on hand. On tough days, it's totally okay to rest.

04 — After

The Run Ends at the After-Party

After the run, it's hot gukbap and coffee. Honestly, this is where you truly become part of the crew. Joining is always up to you.
